Hi All. My field is medieval Islamic theology and philosophy and I don't normally deal with issues outside of that in an academic context; so I'm excited to attend the conference and think it will open up some new vistas for me. I'm sure I have a lot to learn from seasoned scholars in this field. Looking forward to the conference and to meeting you all!
Hello everyone. My field is Comparative Theology and Muslim-Christian Relations. As a Christian from Indonesia, I am very interested to know how the encounter and interaction between Muslims and Christians influence the ways Gospels are perceived differently. Looking forward to read the papers and meeting you all.
Hi everyone. My general area of research is translation and intercultural studies, with specific interest in the sociological approaches to translation. For the last few years, I have developed interest in the socio-cultural dynamics of the translation of the Bible in Arab-Islamic settings. I am looking forward to learning from colleagues, especially those with background in the hermeneutic history of the Bible in Islamic contexts.
Hello everyone. I look forward to learning more about reading the Qur'an and the Bible from an intertextual approach. My area of study has majorly been on the examining the lived experiences of Muslims from an anthropological perspective.
